Add latest news somewhere on the page

Reported by sermoa | November 24th, 2008 @ 10:08 PM | in major_new_version

Currently news bulletins appear on the welcome page and nowhere else. Logged in people usually don't see the welcome page. So, for logged in people, show the bulletin at the top of the sidebar. Make it disappear after three days, or give people a chance to close each bulletin.

Isn't there a blog for mychores? If so, would just an RSS feed of that blog be sufficient?

Yes, there is a blog, but what i'm talking about is the little snippets (microblog) of news that appear on the home page when logged out. They are generally one sentence, often with a read more link. Would make a nice newsflash header or so.

    • Milestone set to major_new_version

Bulletins are going from the welcome page for the major_new_version so they will have to appear elsewhere. I still like the idea of adding them in a banner at the top of each close, with the option to close when read.
