URGENT: Login ID uniqueness needs to be case insensitive

My login ID is sermoa but i just realise i can sign up as SERMOA and it doesn't tell me the login ID has already been taken! Then it's only up to the password to determine which account you log into. If both accounts had the same password, i would always get in as the first one, and could never get into the second one. YIKES!
