Globalisation - make MyChores fully translatable

Reported by sermoa | November 24th, 2008 @ 09:59 PM

This is partially done - US English is available.

Esperanto and Portuguese have been started. The main effort is going to be in tagging the strings for translation.

We have been using the Globalize plugin, but need to think whether it's worth changing to the built-in internationalisation options of Rails 2.2.

I've decided not to do this after all. Globalize is slowing the whole site down, and in any case Rails now supports internationalisation so we should use that.

Only 3 people were using Portuguese so i don't think it's a huge advantage. We'll still do UK/US support for the few words that differ.
